Oneshot Media is a photography and multimedia marketing company in the real estate field. Oneshot boasted a high rate of customer satisfaction and rapid growth, and looked to update their website with improved automation and scheduling processes to better future-proof the company as their business continued to grow.
SG Web Partners created a custom platform that lets Oneshot’s clients learn about and book their desired services, check out with those services, and have a dedicated, secure account platform for receiving content after photo and video sessions.
One significant UX challenge we faced in this project was to redesign a checkout that provided clients with lots of options, while making those options translate correctly to Oneshot’s internal scheduling system.
Our approach was twofold. We needed to make the scheduling process extremely flexible by allowing users to select photographers and time slots as well as to add an ability to order marketing enhancements in a few clicks.
We also needed to ensure that those appointments synced properly with Oneshot’s scheduling system, matching the correct personnel with each specific job and minimizing schedule conflicts.
It took a few iterations, but we were able to use Oneshot’s feedback to find the perfect solution that is both functional on the frontend, and easy to manage on the backend.
This was one of the most important things for us to get right – content delivery is at the core of Oneshot’s business, so we needed that delivery to be a pleasant experience for both Oneshot and their customers.
We made it so that Oneshot’s customers can log in and manage orders and account settings directly from the website, including receiving content from photoshoots, rescheduling, adding new features, downloading referral links, and more.
This has made appointments easier to manage right there on the site, and content easy to retrieve after an appointment. That means a better experience for customers, and less manual busywork for Oneshot staff.
Refer a Friend/Loyalty Program
Oneshot earns much of its business through referral from satisfied customers. So we instituted an easy way for Oneshot’s customers to refer new clients, and benefit from it. Best of all, we make those referrals easy to manage on the customer portal, just like their appointments and content.
For each scheduled shoot, Oneshot uploads content for the client after it has been edited and quality-checked. When they do, it automatically fills a “listing website,” which serves as a promotional page for the property complete with pre-filled information.This is a huge benefit that Oneshot can offer to its clients, which does not require significant time investment on the part of Oneshot’s staff.
Custom WordPress Theme
We designed Oneshot’s WordPress theme from scratch, as we generally do with all of our clients, so as to best represent the look and feel of the company. We incorporated a modern-looking design with a vibrant new color scheme, making green a key color throughout the site and giving the entire experience a cohesive, memorable feeling.
Price Comparison/Shopping Tool
Because of the wide variety of property types and sizes Oneshot handles, we created a cohesive shopping/checkout experience where customers could easily see the pricing for each service. In doing so, we also made it easy to advertise bundles and upsells for Oneshot’s services, and really convey the value in those services.
